Blackstenius quickly set the tone, slotting the ball past Anna Leat following Frida Maanum’s precise assist, putting the defending League Cup champions ahead within nine minutes.
Merely two minutes later, the Swedish forward was on target again, tapping in from close range after a play involving Alessia Russo and a cross from Beth Mead.
Villa found themselves outmatched by Arsenal’s dynamic forward line and were three goals down by the 18th minute, following Maanum’s superb curler from just outside the box.
Before halftime, Blackstenius sealed her hat-trick, capitalizing on Villa’s inability to effectively clear a corner, as Arsenal smoothly sailed towards a win.
Villa’s manager, Carla Ward, described the first half as “horribly disappointing”.
Although Villa improved after the break, their creative efforts were sporadic, and Arsenal faced little challenge.
Ward commented to BBC Sport, They came out with relentless energy tonight, and when they play like that, they can dismantle any team, as they did with us in the first half.
The second half was about restoring pride. We acknowledged the game was essentially over, and it was a matter of stepping up or giving in. We chose to step up in the second half and performed much better.
Arsenal, who have claimed the League Cup six times, are set to play against the victor of the upcoming match between Manchester City and Chelsea, scheduled for Thursday at 19:15 GMT.

The final is slated for Sunday, 31 March, at Molineux.
Despite a commanding win, Arsenal’s manager, Jonas Eidevall, believes his team has room for improvement.
There were moments when we didn’t play our best, he remarked.
It’s crucial for us to maintain high standards for ourselves. Although we secured a comfortable victory, we have yet to reach our peak performance. We are capable of better.
Securing a Spot in the Final after Overcoming Setbacks
Despite being ousted from the FA Cup, not making it to the Champions League group stages, and trailing by three points in the Women’s Super League, Arsenal still have a shot at silverware this season through the League Cup.
They proved their worth with an authoritative victory over Villa.
In the game, Arsenal capitalized on their wing play, stretching Villa’s defense and creating central opportunities for Blackstenius and Maanum.
The visitors needed help to keep up with Arsenal’s aggressive offense, losing their shape and allowing the Gunners to advance effortlessly.
Katie McCabe nearly increased the lead, hitting the crossbar while consistently threatening the Villa defense with her crosses.
Villa’s attempts at counter-attacks were thwarted mainly by Arsenal’s Kyra Cooney-Cross and Lia Walti, highlighting the home team’s midfield control.
Villa’s challenges were compounded by Kirsty Hanson’s injury in the first half.
Arsenal’s efficiency in converting all their shots on target in the first half, along with Blackstenius’ impressive hat-trick — contrasting her previous league form — are positive signs for Eidevall’s team.
With the most League Cup titles historically and Eidevall’s first trophy as manager coming from this competition last season, Arsenal’s latest final berth underlines their enduring dominance.
