Chris Fuehrich, making a solid case for his inclusion in Germany’s Euro 2024 squad, contributed the second goal at 65 minutes with a looping shot from distance to solidify the lead.
Union Berlin was down to 10 players after Andras Schaefer was sent off with a straight red card for a high challenge on Josha Vagnoman with 21 minutes remaining.
